Position: Game Designer
Location: Remote (Europe or similar time zone preferred)
Language: Fluent English
Experience: Game Design, MMO, Space or Sci-Fi Games, Web 3 (preferred)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Game Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for the creative elements of Botwars Ascendance, including developing and evolving storylines, characters, game rules, goals, and challenges. You will work collaboratively with other team members, including programmers, to bring the game's vision to life and ensure a captivating gameplay experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and evolve compelling storylines and characters that enhance the game's narrative.
- Develop and refine game rules, goals, and challenges to ensure engaging gameplay.
- Work collaboratively with the programming team to implement game design concepts.
- Pitch game concepts and design ideas to management and stakeholders.
- Continuously iterate on game design based on player feedback and testing.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative design techniques.
- Stay abreast of new trends and technologies in the gaming industry, especially in blockchain and MMO games.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Game Designer, preferably within MMO, space, or sci-fi games.
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, player progression, and narrative development.
- Excellent storytelling skills and ability to create immersive game worlds.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to pitch creative ideas effectively.
- Fluent in English.
- Creative thinker with a passion for player-centric design.
- Experience with blockchain technology or Web 3.0 in gaming is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of MMO gameplay mechanics and reward systems.
- Background in space or sci-fi game design.
- Familiarity with real-time strategy and role-playing game elements.
- Understanding of blockchain technology and its application in gaming.
- Knowledge of game development tools and software.
