Botwars Ascendance MVP Test: A Successful Journey with Our Ambassadors

We are thrilled to share the exciting results of the Botwars Ascendance MVP play test conducted in June 2024. This phase was a significant milestone for us, as we invited 25 dedicated Ambassadors, chosen from thousands of applicants, to explore and evaluate the core features of our game. Their feedback has been invaluable in shaping the future of Botwars Ascendance, and we're eager to share the highlights with our community.

Community Growth and Engagement

During the MVP testing period, our community saw remarkable growth. We expanded our Twitter following to over 8,000 and engaged more than 2,300 active Discord members. The enthusiasm and support from our community have been overwhelming, and it's been amazing to see so many players excited about the journey ahead.

The MVP Play Test Experience

Our 25 Ambassadors were tasked with a comprehensive exploration of the game, including:

• Completing missions
• Upgrading their motherships
• Building resource and utility vessels
• Facing off against mini bosses
• Trading assets in the in-game marketplace
• Stress-testing the overall game mechanics

Players were challenged to reach level 5 with their commanders. Over the course of the two-week testing period, the Ambassadors collectively played over 150 hours, averaging 58-minute sessions with an impressive 3.9 sessions per user daily. In total, they completed 245 missions.

Despite encountering a few minor issues, such as the initial integration challenges with ImmutableX’s passport login system (quickly rectified on day one), the overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Our Ambassadors praised the game's addictive nature and engaging gameplay.

Ambassador Feedback Highlights

Here are some of the highlights from the Ambassadors' feedback:

• On Upgrades and Progression: "I just love that once you increase in level you can purchase upgrade modules that have more power than the lower levels, and your storage capacity increases for vessels. And you get to upgrade your skill tree. I wanna put more skill points in speed and shields."
• On the Addictive Nature of the Game: "The game is getting addictive lol. Once you've explored all the areas like marketplaces, mining stations, military outposts, and faced many AI centurions, you start to grasp the game's essence, and hence it gets super addictive."
• On the Unique Gameplay Experience: "I have played more than 5 web3 games and I can confidently say this is by far better than all others. Most web3 games are derivatives of other games, but Botwars gameplay is unique."
• On the Overall Experience: "Apart from a small bug, the game was one of the best web 3 games I’ve played, and I totally enjoyed it. I’ll definitely share it with my community and recommend it to people to play when it officially releases."

We also received constructive suggestions, such as adding the ability to change the chosen mothership, a feature already planned for future updates.

Moving Forward: Enhancements and Future Tests

Since the MVP play test, our development team has been hard at work fixing bugs and expanding game functionality. We've added features like enhanced resource gathering, including gas harvesting, and implemented core functionalities for crafting resources and processing gases.

Looking ahead, we're preparing for a second MVP play test scheduled for September. This next phase will involve an even larger group of play testers and Ambassadors, potentially doubling or tripling the participation. We can't wait to see the feedback from a broader audience and continue refining Botwars Ascendance into a game that redefines the web3 gaming experience.
